Space. The Final Frontier. Well, next to the final frontier. Sort of the second frontier, really. Welcome to our first cast on the Star Trek films!

This week we focus on the mostly miss, but at least one hit Next Gen films, which are Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis, respectively. What, you say? What about the original six Trek films? Well not to worry, WE WILL get to those by the end of the year!

Why start with the Next Generation films, you also ask (you're very questiony today)? Well, the Trek films have a very interesting track record which is well worth studying, but none more than the Next Generation films. They are films based on arguably the most beloved series in the franchise (emphasis on arguably), yet the films as a whole are.. underwhelming to say the least. Join us as we dive into what makes the Next Gen property tick, and why the films based on it are just so-so.
